Abstract

206,316. Swan, A. Sept. 27, 1922. Drawings to Specification. Helical springs.-The coils of a helical or conical spring formed of metal of uniform cross-section are made of varying pitch to reduce or eliminate wave motion in the spring. The springs are specially applicable as valve springs for internal-cambustion engines. According to the Provisional Specification, the spring may be made of constant pitch, the cross-section of the wire being varied.
