Abstract
A transducer for convening an AC voltage to a DC voltage to obtain a DC output voltage which is in response to an AC input voltage. An AC input voltage (e11) representing conditions of an AC power system is rectified through a full-wave or half-wave rectifier (12) of the transducer to thereby provide two kinds of DC voltages (e12, e14), each of which is in proportion to the AC input voltage (e11) and has a ripple component. These two kinds of DC voltages (e12, e14) are then compared with each other at a comparator and there is provided a DC output which corresponds to the smaller one of the DC voltages. This transducer is available for signal sources for data loggers, digital computers, telemeters and the like.
