Abstract

Broadcloth looms can be adjusted to produce different widths or combinations of widths of fabric by grouping the harness cords (26) appropriately in the comber board (23). According to the invention, relevelling is avoided by displacing the harness cords (26) along the comber board (23) for such adjustment so that the length of each harness cord between its point of attachment (27) to the patterning mechanism (21) and the comber board (23) is unaltered.
