Repeating systems; loading circuits to improve transmission.-In order to simplify the construction of the balancing networks used with telephone relays, condensers are inserted in each section of the line, between loading points, across each pair. to bring up to a standard value the mutual capacities between the wires of each pair. Additional condensers may be inserted in each section between the wires if it is desired to balance the plumtom circuit capacities. The condensers for this purpose are made in a suitable range of values, and are sealed in metal containers connected to the lead sheath of the cable.
