Variable-speed gearing comprises centrifugal masses 3 reacting against cams 5 so as to drive the latter at a speed which varies automatically. The masses 3 slide in radial slots 2<1> in a disc 2 secured to a driving-shaft 1. Rollers 4 upon the masses bear upon the inner faces of the eccentric cams 5, which are secured to a driven shaft 7.
