Fusible cut-outs; cases. -An explosion-proof cutout comprises a tubular fuse container A provided with end caps B sliding thereon or screwed thereto and carrying metal bushes C, insulated therefrom as at E, through which pass the terminals H of a porcelain carrier G. Any hot gases formed by an explosion within the casing will be cooled on being forced out between the contiguous surfaces of the terminals and bushes, and external propagation of the explosion prevented.
