Abstract

An analog liquid crystal timepiece includes a liquid crystal display device which has two or three concentrically arranged arrays of radially disposed display elements for displaying the time of day indication in analog form as Fig. 1(a) and for displaying calendar indication or chronograph indication as Fig. 1(b). A manually operable switch is provided for selectively displaying the time of day indication and the calendar or chronograph indication. When two of the indications overlap they are distinguished from one another by producing visually different displays, for example, of different contrast. <IMAGE>
