Abstract

A planar scaffold frame for constructing tower scaffolding includes a telescopic upright 9, 10, the telescopic portion 10 having a diagonal brace (e.g. 24.1) pivoted to its free end and adjustably mounted on a rack (e.g. 21.1) on the frame. In use, two braces extending on adjacent sides of the tower are attached to each upright 10. The frame may be used at the head or foot of a tower or two oppositely directed frames may be interconnected to form the tower's mid-section. <IMAGE>
