Abstract

In order to avoid any adverse influence of mutually different operating temperatures, between fixed resistors 14, 15 and a potentiometer 4 the resistance layer (3) of the potentiometer and the resistance layer 2 of the fixed resistors are arranged on a common substrate (1). The portion forming the potentiometer 4 projects out of synthetic resin potting compound 9, but the heat conduction of the substrate ensures that it assumes substantially the same temperature as the resistors 14, 15 which are encased in the potting compound (9). The arrangement is used in television apparatus, where it is connected in parallel to the voltage multiplier cascade to produce a focusing voltage which is adjusted by potentiometer 4. The resistor arrangement thus avoids the adverse effects of heating by the cascade circuit components. <IMAGE>
