Abstract

A sprayer for use within agriculture has an elongate spraying boom (15) on an adjustable holder (10) on an agricultural vehicle. The spraying boom (15) and holder (10) are interconnected by the intermediary of a connecting shaft (14) and a supporting arm (23) which is pivotal on the spraying boom and whose angle with respect to the boom may be adjusted by means of a hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly. The connecting shaft (14) is perpendicular to the plane of the boom (15) and is disposed in spaced apart relationship above the centre of gravity of the boom. By regulating the angle of the supporting arm (23) with respect to the spraying boom (15), it is possible to adjust the positioning of the spraying boom in relation to the plane of the ground. For damping oscillation of the boom (15), the boom and the holder (10) are, moreover, interconnected by means of an oscillation damper (29). The oscillation damper is in the form of a double-action piston and cylinder assembly whose both cylinder ends are interconnected by the intermediary of a conduit which may be throttled. <IMAGE>
