Abstract

Controllers, multiple rocking bar. - A motor controller is constituted by a row of snap-action switches, each actuated by a pair of cams on a shaft turned by a handle. Each switch comprises a pivoted contact arm 7, toggle levers 10, 12, a spring 14 joining the centre of the toggle to a transmission lever 16, and a pair of cams 3 mounted in different planes on the shaft 1. As the shaft is turned the opening and closing of the switch is effected quickly by the passage of the spring 14 across the dead centre position. An extension 20 of the transmission lever 16 may initiate the collapse of the toggle.
