Abstract

A pressed and bonded felt comprises one layer of felt and another layer of a different material, the two layers being held together by an intermediate layer of thermoplastic material, preferably polythene sheet. The felt may be shaped into articles such as table mats and wall coverings which are characterised by good moisture and heat resistance.
