Abstract

200,769. Boby, Ltd., R., and Jennings, M. Jan. 9, 1923. Parts made of reinforced materials.-In valve plates comprising a perforated metal core or plate embedded in a covering of india-rubber or the like and adapted for air pumps &c., the central orifice 6 is surrounded on each face of the plate by an annular groove 8, thus forming a reversible valve. The core plate 3 is formed also with serrated edges to assist in securing the rubber &c. covering. The grooves 8 serve to receive the usual spring tending to close the valve.
