Abstract

The carriages 2, 3 of an articulated vehicle, eg. an omnibus, are connected together by a pivotal coupling 6, and a bellows 8 encloses a passageway between the two carriages. The angle between the carriages is controlled by hydraulic extensible devices 12, 13 which act in opposed pairs, on each side of the vehicle. All the devices 12 have their facing ends connected to a common cross-member 9 which is pivotable about the axis of the pivotal coupling 6 so as to be held in a mid-position at the bisector of the angle between the two carriages. <IMAGE>
