Abstract

The testing system comprises a computer (UC,M,) which controls test stations (PC1, PC2, . . .) via a computer bus (BC). Each test station includes measurement and/or test instruments, power supplies and means for connection to a circuit to be tested. These units together with a selective connection network are housed in a cabinet (AR). The cabinet may be several tens of meters from the computer and is connected to the computer bus via couplers (CP1 and CP2) and is associated with a teletype (TT) and its coupler (CT). The equipment in the cabinet is remotely-controllable by the computer and signals measurement and/or test results thereto. The connection network is selectively controlled by control logic and includes sufficient bus lines which may be connected to any of the terminals of the means for connection to the circuit to be tested and to any of the terminals of the power supplies and the instruments for the circuit under test to be connectable to at least one power supply and at least one instrument simultaneously. <IMAGE>
