Abstract

A vehicle headlight with a paraboloidal reflector (2) enclosed by a front glass or lens (1) has an infra-red heater (7) disposed in its interior space in the immediate vicinity of the headlight lamp (4) and the focal point (F) of the reflector to provide heating for the removal of snow or ice from the front surface of the lens. <IMAGE>
