Abstract

A method of producing by hydraulic deep drawing from a metal sheet 3 a hollow body which varies in cross-sectional area along its length, the sheet being forced by a ram 5 into a bath of hydraulic fluid 11 contained in die 1 to form a cylindrical body and then expanded against the wall of the die by admission of hydraulic fluid into its interior through the ram accompanied by expulsion from the die of the hydraulic fluid surrounding the body. <IMAGE>
