Abstract

199,915. Eraut, W. May 22, 1922. F l u i d s , regulating volume of flow of; lift valves. - A screw-down stop valve is fitted internally with a separate perforated disc for regulating the maximum flow. The valve g is provided with a spindle c enclosed by a cap d to prevent unauthorized use. A partition j separates the inlet chamber k from the outlet chamber m, and the passage between the two is controlled by a perforated disc o. The openings r in the disc are of different diameters, and the disc is adjusted so that the required number of openings are over the chamber m. The disc may be secured by a screw s passing through one of a number of holes on the opposite side of the disc. The device is particularly applicable as an underground control valve for water supplies.
