Abstract
199,124. Playfoot, R. H. March 15, 1922. Batteries, mounting; tool &c. containers.-A device for resiliently supporting cases E for accumulators and accessories on a motor-cycle carrier A comprises two or more vertical bars C on each side of the carrier and clipped to it at c, the bars being joined at their lower 'ends by bars D between which pass bolts h passing also through U-clips H engaging the inclined carrier stays B. The bars C have vertical slots c<1> in which bolts e slide freely and support projecting parts e<1> of metal straps e<2> secured to the cases E. Springs F, G are so connected to the cases and to the bars C or D as respectively to absorb the downthrust and the recoil of the cases. The Provisional Specification describes the members e<2> as angle-brackets, one arm of each of which is secured to the back of the case E, the other arm projecting to form one of the members e<1>.
