Abstract

198,958. Lee, H. W., and Kapella, Ltd. Oct. 7, 1922. Lenses.-Telephoto lenses of large aperture and corrected for astigmatism, spherical and chromatic aberrations, and curvature of the field, consist of two separated achromatized cemented doublets, the front doublet having double convex and double concave elements, the index of refraction of the latter being greater than that of the former by an amount not greater than 0.095 or less than 0.075. The index of refraction of the double convex component of the front doublet is not less than 1.568 or more than 1.578. Numerical data are given in the Specification, and Specifications 1185/14, 132,067, 139,719, and 151,507 are referred to.
