Joints with yielding inner part expanded.-A tubes 6 is forced into the slotted serrated spigot 2, provided with the usual screw thread 4 for the reception of a union nut, so as to expand the spigot to grip the hose 1 between it and a loose collar 3. The tube 6 may be provided with suitable projections or apertures to enable it to be withdrawn by a tool if desired.
