Abstract

196,444. Denham, R. Feb. 24, 1922. Spring surfaces.-In a seat &c. of the kind in which the upholstery &c. is supported upon upholstery &c. springs mounted upon a wire &c. frame and wherein the front of the frame is directly supported on the front of the chair frame, the sides and back of the wire &c. frame are suspended from the chair frame by coiled springs. In the preferred form of the invention, the sides f and back g of the chair frame carry wires h to which are attached the coiled springs e which support the iron frame b. The front of the frame b may be similarly suspended, and the invention may be applied to chair backs.
