Spring devices.-In a spring fork c for motorcycles &c. of the type mounted on parallel links a and having an oscillatory member b pivoted to the upper or lower linkage, the horizontal movements of the wheel axis are controlled by spring means incorporated' substantially directly between the fork and the steering-head d, and independently of the oscillatory member b. A rod g is pivoted in a forked boss e on the crown f and carries a spring l, which abuts at its outer end against a washer m secured to the end of the rod g and at its inner end against the transverse part i of a stirrup i, j, the rod g passing through a perforation in the part i. The diverging side arms j of the stirrup are pivoted at their forward ends to lugs k rigid with the fork c.
