Abstract

194,901. Axten, C. J. Feb. 17, 1922. Resilient wire handles; fixing by sockets and tangs.-A mop 1 is provided with a pocket 2 to receive a spring wire 4 bent into coils 5 and extended to form arms 6 for connection to a mop-handle 8. The arms 6 are placed along the sides of a wedge portion of the handle and are fixed by means of a sliding ferrule 9. Fig. 3 shows a modified construction of spring wire for use with different forms of mop. The mop shown in Fig. 8 is provided with two pockets 28, 29 into which can be inserted a spring wire having two corresponding loops and carrying a socket for attachment to the mop handle.
