Abstract

Electromagnetic current meters. - In pivoted moving-coil electrical instruments, the core is held to the body of the instrument bv a form of geometric abutment, and means are provided for clamping the core through the intermediarv of the abutment. The gap between the pole-piece horns on one side is filled in with a casting H of non.magnetic material having a low melting-point, the castin, having piojections between which is formed a curved face K of radius less than that of the core, so that two point contacts are provided. Across the opposite pole-piece horns a non-magnetic bridge E is positioned, through which a screw G passes and bears against a slot L or hole in a projection F attached to the core. In modifications the metal projection H may be replaced by four screws or the projection may be formed in the core piece.
