Abstract
8051. Oliver, B. T., Burbey, W. T., and Grimes, T. May 31. Projectiles.-A projectile a for toy guns has a metal member 3, Fig. 1, which holds a detonator or cap against the end of the projectile and intercepts the blow from the propelling-mechanism, so that the cap is exploded as the projectile is expelled from the gun. The member 3 is connected by a neck 4 with a body portion b, which is provided either with inturned points or a sharpened edge, which is forced into the projectile. The member 3 may also be formed of a. flat spiral of wire, the end of which is forced into the projectile. In a further modification, Fig. 11, the member consists of a length of wire 3, which passes diametrically across the end of the projectile.
