Abstract
20,606. Mossay, P. A. H. Oct. 6. Compound vehicles. - A motor tractor having front driving and steering wheels d and one or more rear wheels f mounted on a rearwardly and downwardly extending frame or limber, is adapted to receive and support the front wheels u of a road vehicle. The rear wheels f of the tractor will then be in line with the wheels v of the trailer, so that the whole forms for manoeuvring purposes a single vehicle. This feature is described in Specification 17,968/08 The front wheels u of the trailer run up inclined flaps p on to channel casings m carried by the tractor frame. A small windlass r is used to pull the trailer into position and the flaps p are then raised by another windlass q. In a modification, a jack fixed to the front end of the trailer is used to raise it into position.
