Cleaning, fluid-pressure processes for.-In a cleaner for boiler flues consisting of a steampipe c, Fig. 1, with a head b having two jets in the same longitudinal plane and arranged to direct the steam backwards through any of the flue tubes when the cleaner is rotated by means of a handle f, the two jets h, i, Fig. 3, are arranged at different angles to the axis of the pipe c. The cleaner is normally retained in one of the flue tubes, as indicated in dotted lines in Fig. 3, for example by means of a spring, and it is pushed forwards into the flue space by any suitable means for the cleaning operation. The jets h, i have flared openings, as shown in Fig. 5, and the head b is provided with ribs j for guiding it in the tube.
