10,361. Lea, J., and Almond, H. April 27. Bayonet-joint fastenings.-In a joint for tubes, rods, ropes, &c., a short length of tube E on one member B is slotted at G to receive a projection F on the other member A. A ring J, which slides on the tube E but is prevented from withdrawal by a stop P, is formed with a projection L fitting the slot G, and also carries a loose collar K having a lug N projecting through a slot M in the ring J. In coupling, the projection A is inserted into the slot G and turned into a recess H, whereupon the ring J is moved so that the projection L covers this recess, and the ring K is then rotated to bring the lug N into a recess I.
