Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and pneumatic, rubber-ring, and like cushions. - A central plate D carrying the tyre slides between disks B fixed on the hub and is supported by a solid, ' cushion,' or pneumatic rubber ring E at the hub and by similar cushions C seated in the edges of the disks and in flanged rings g fixed to the plate. The hub cushion is seated in a split adjustable curved seating F, F'. The rings g are detachable and serve also to secure the tyre, which may be of rubber, or be formed of circumferential leather rings H on edge, and interposed serrated metal rings to prevent slipping. Non-creeping projections and recesses are formed between the cushions and their seatings.
