Sewing - machines; finger guards.-A wire finger-guard secured to the presser is formed of two horizontal bars extending forwards at one side of the needle, one of the bars being suitably bent and extended across the front of the needle. In one form, a piece of wire is bent into a side loop c' and a front loop c<2>. In a second form, the side guard is formed by the two straight portions f<1>, f<3> and the front guard is formed by a V-shaped dip in the front part of the wire f<3>. In both forms, the holder a is held in position by a screw c and a lug a<1> engaging the front of the presser foot.
