Abstract

6065. Tanner, A. J. March 11. Tickets, issuing. - Cases for holding and issuing roll tickets comprise a base-plate 3 upon which may be secured one or more casings 1 provided with a hinged cover 9. Mounted to slide in grooves below the base 2 is a plate 4 pressed outwards by a spring 12, the head of a screw 13 forming a stop. The slide 4 is provided at its outer end with a passage 15 through which the ticket passes, and with a cutting edge 20. The ticket roll is mounted in bearings 7, of which the lower halves are formed in the casing, and the upper halves are constituted by springs 10. A spring pawl 17 pivoted on a cross-bar 16 is provided to engage in the ticket perforations and indicate the amount to be drawn out. In operation the slide is pressed in to allow the ticket to be gripped and then withdrawn. To allow the device to be mounted on a vehicle, the base-plate 3 is provided with a tapered dovetailed groove 24 which engages a similar projection formed on a fixed table 21, Fig. 3.
