Abstract

17,781. Vereinigte Dampfturbinen Ges. Aug. 5, 1910, [Convention date]. Plant.-In a turbine in which steam is drawn off from an intermediate stage by a pipe 6 for manufacturing purposes, the pressure in this region is maintained constant by one or more valves 10, 11, which regulate the flow to the lower stages, and are controlled by a pressure-responsive mechanism having a follow-up device. The piston 27, which is subjected to the pressure of steam in the connexion 5, moves against the action of a spring 28 which is adjustable by a hand-wheel 33, and displaces the pilot valve 21 of the oil relay motors 14 of the valves 10, 11. A follow - up device connected with the valve - rods 15 is provided and comprises a system of rods and levers 35, 37, 38 transmitting motion to a ported sleeve 22 surrounding the pilot valve 21. The effect of a displacement of the piston 27 is thus modified by the resulting displacement of the valves 10, 11.
