Condensation water, draining. -In order to prevent flooding of a turbine or other exhaust chamber a, which is drained by a pipe m leading to a wet air-pump f used in conjunction with angmentor means g, j for evacuating the condenser, an overflow q from the wet air-pump suction e into the suction h of the augmentor is provided at that height r, r to which it is deemed advisable to allow the liquid to rise in the turbine casing. The augmentor may be a dry air-pump or a Parsons' augmentor, comprising a steam-ejector g and a cooler j. A single suction from the condenser may be provided in place of the separate air and water pipes h, e.
