Abstract

21,505. Schroeder, F. W., and Macalister, W. W. Sept. 15. [Addition to 30,180 / 09.] Sliding-clasp fastenings .-In a sliding-clasp fastening for wearing-apparel, tents &c., of the kind described in the parent Specification, male and female members alternate on each side of the aperture to be fastened. Each element consists of a metal plate a, bent around an edge of the aperture and having a stud b projecting from its middle point. The head of the stud is adapted to engage with a recess c formed by the edges of two adjacent elements on the opposite side of the aperture. The slide e, Fig. 2, which co-operates with the fastening-members, has a pair of grooves f, g which fit the portions a of the members, and a pair of auxiliary grooves f<1>, g<1> which receive the heads d of the studs.
