Water circulation, promoting.-In apparatus for promoting the water circulation in steam boilers of the kind in which the upward current of steam in the boiler raises water into a vessel placed at the water level and communicating with the lower part of the boiler, steam from an outside source is used to bring the apparatus into operation while raising steam in the boiler. In the apparatus shown, a vessel f placed at boiler level communicates with the lower part of the boiler through a pipe h, and is provided at the bottom with an inverted funnel d, through which the water is raised by the upward current of steam. Steam from an outside source is admitted through a pipe i, which is provided with a cock l.
