Abstract

6576. Taylor, A. March 16. Yarns, warping.-In tension arrangements in which balls are employed to impart tension to the thread or yarn being unwound in warping- machines, an elastic clip c holds a collar b, which supports the ball on a taper or concave seat and is provided internally and externally with smooth sloping sides to facilitate the falling away of fluff &c. The clip or collar may be tilted to allow the ball to bear more or less directly upon the yarn. A ring or loop i is employed to retain the ball in position.
