Abstract

1275. Aronson, L. V. Jan. 18. [Addition to 22,886/09.] Rigid-jaw wrenches. -Relates to spanners of the type described in the parent Specification, which comprise a number of blades having nut apertures of various sizes at the ends superposed one upon the other, with clamping-means on the stems, so that one of the blades may be slid out and clamped tightly during use, and consists in employing eccentric clamping-means. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the eccentric f with handle g is pivoted on a yoke e enveloping the shanks of the spanner blades a, b, c, d. In another form, shown in Fig. 4, the blades are slotted to receive the square shank n cf a bolt m, and the eccentric o. with the handle o' is slotted and pivoted to the upper end of the bolt. In a further modification, side links are pivoted to studs on the edges of the bottom blade, and the eccentric is pivoted between the top ends of the links.
