Abstract
14,547. Dallison, G. J. June 21. Differential or balance gearing.-Relates to gearing of the class in which bevel planet-pinions carried on the radial arms of a rotatable frame transmit power to wheels on the ends of shaft segments. In addition to the radial arms 11, 12, 13, 14, the frame F is provided with axially-extending arms 20, 21, which fit into the inner sides of the transmission wheels C, D and abut against the ends of the shaft segments A, B. The frame F is made all in one piece. The planet - pinions 15, 17, &c, revolve upon reduced portions of the arms 12, 14, &c. and are kept in place by an encircling driving gear-ring G. The ring G is secured to the frame F by bolts 19 screwing into holes in the ends of the arms 12, 13, 14, &c. The gearing may be enclosed in a casing loosely mounted on the shafts A, B and formed in two verticallydivided segments.
