19,877. Pasmore, A. H. Sept. 5. Padlocks.-The bolt A of a padlock is made as shown in Fig. 6, and a dog C having a recess engaging the projection E is pivotally mounted upon it. When the padlock is locked, the bolt and dog are contained within the lock case G, which is enlarged at H to provide room for the staple and has a corresponding opening on the opposite side. When the bolt is shot out by means of the key in unlocking the padlocks the dog C can be pushed aside, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, to release the staple.
