22,992. Frazer & Chalmers, [Cook, J. F.]. Oct. 23. Friction ratchets. -Relates to friction gearing for producing intermittent rotary motion such as is employed for the feeding devices in ore-stamping machinery. A flanged friction disc a is mounted on the shaft b to be driven. A driving - lever c, having an eccentric boss d, is loosely mounted on the shaft b and carries loosely on the boss d a cam pawl e which, when driving, bears against the inside k of the flange on the disc a. The shaft b is driven intermittently by the reciprocating action of the lever c causing the pawl e to engage alternately with the flange k and then fall back freely to its initial position.
