6361. Munro, A. March 15. Pens, reservoir. Relates, particularly, to means for filling reservoir pens with ink, for controlling the outflow, and for withdrawing iuk left on the nib after use, the invention being applicable also to similar appliances requiring to be filled and emptied. Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal section and Fig. 7 a cross-section. The reservoir 1, or the inkcontaining bag 27, is connected with the feeding- tube 14 by the rubber tube or pump 6 through which ink may be forced in either direction by rotating the milled wheel 9 carrying the pressure rollers 13. The feed-tube 14 terminates in a plate 15 ; it may be moved along the nib by means of the stud 24 connected to the block 1, which slides on the rod 19. As an alternative, the block 18 is connected to a rack actuated by a toothed wheel which is held between the outer barrel and the split steel tubular piece 20. In modifications, the recess for the pressure rollers &c. is formed at the side of or through the holder ; the wheel 9 and the rack-actuating wheel are either or both loose on the supporting shaft &c.
