10,492. Jahn, K. R. June 8. Stoppers.-The stopper b is made of metal, porcelain, &c., and is formed with an annular groove f to receive the fastening wire, or wires c. The fastening is formed with downwardly-bent arms d, which lie in notches i in the stopper, and are bent inwardly to form hooks e. The stopper has a recess g, lined with a rubber or other washer h. The stopper is placed on the neck of the bottle, jar, &c., and forced downwards until the hooks e spring into an annular groove in the neck, as shown in Fig. 1.
