Abstract
189,617. Electric Construction Co., Ltd., and Close, F. W. Oct. 21, 1921. Electrically-tripped switches. - To increase the current value at which tripping occurs, for instance in starting electric motors, the solenoid plunger C is pressed on by a braking device to prevent it from rising. A slider F having a knob f moves in a guide G against the action of a spring f<2>. It carries a second spring f<1> at its inner end which frictionally engages the plunger C when the knob f is pressed in. A pin f<3> and the closing-up of the spring f<2> limit the travel. In this way, a much larger current is required to raise the plunger.
