Rotary-mould-table machines; delivery; feeding; cleaning apparatus.-Sugar is fed by a pair of intermeshing blades 16 from a hopper 15 into moulds 2 in a tablet 1 rotated intermittingly by pin-and-slot gear. Each mould is fitted with a plunger 3 having a stem 4 fitted with a roller 7 engaging stationary cams 10, 10<1> of which the cam 10<1> is carried by a member 12 adjustable vertically by a screw 13 to regulate the feed. The sugar is compressed against an abutment 18, Fig. 4, by toggles 19 operated from a cam 22, the pressed cakes being ejected above the moulds by a cam-operated lever furnished with a slot adapted to embrace a second roller 6, Fig. 3, on each stem 4. The cakes are pushed from the table 1 by a pusher 25 on to a receiving-table 24 and are delivered therefrom by a pusher 28 on to trays 34 carried along by a continuously moving conveyer 29. A shaft 40, Fig. 5, operates through cams and levers both pushers 25, 28, and also imparts intermittent movement to the receiving table 24 through pin-and-slot gear 24<11>, 24<1>. The plungers are cleaned by rotating arms 36, Fig. 6, carrying blades of rubber and kept moist by passing over a moistened spongy roller 42 mounted in a trough 38. The arms 36 sweep over the mould table and are adjustable vertically upon their shaft 39 by a screw 41.
