Abstract

186,552. Prince, A. Feb. 28, 1922. Locking nuts. - A nut E is locked to a bolt F by means of a washer A, Fig. 2, of the type having radial tongues B which can be bent into engagement with recesses D in the nut, and a radial lug G which projects inwardly into a longitudinal groove H in the bolt. According to the invention saw-cuts C are provided on either side of the tongues B to increase their pliability. The washer A has four equidistant tongues, two of which are available to lock the nut at every twelfth of a revolution.
