595,979. Brick-moulding machines. WHITTAKER & CO., Ltd., C., and WHITTAKER, N. July 12, 1945, No. 17801. Addition to 539,828. [Class 87 (ii)] In a machine of the type having a " dropbox operated by two cams c on a cam shaft C, the base of the machine is formed as a unit A carrying a central member B which supports a bearing b for the camshaft and having bolted or otherwise secured thereto vertical members A' to which the side members A<2> of the frame of the machine are secured. The member B may be integral with the base or secured thereto by bolts. The drop-box may actuate several lower plungers. The upper plungers are carried by a cross head D vertically reciprocated from the cam shaft by connecting rod E.
