Abstract

183,403. Borrowdale, W. March 15, 1922. Percussive hand tools.-The hammer-piston of a spring-operated percussive tool contains a recess 6 in which works a cam on the end of the shaft 3, against a roller 7 lying in the same plane as the axes of the piston and of the shaft. The spring 9 is adjusted by means of a sleeve 10 and lock nut 11. The tool holder 14<a> is screwed into the lower end of the cylinder, and limits the stroke accordingly. Springs 15 prevent the tool holder from moving under vibration.
