Abstract
183,051. Mairich, A. Aug. 8, 1921. Rolling-machines; centrifugal machines.- In machines for working dough &c., of the type comprising rotary and stationary members adapted to co-operate to exert a rolling action on the material, the members are arranged practically contiguous, so that in operation the material is maintained by centrifugal force in contact with the members at their meeting edges, and there is a single point of contact only of the. material being rolled. In the machine shown, the rotary member a is conical and is located beneath the stationary member e, which comprises an annular rim. The balls of dough are fed by a guide x from the hopper j to the members e, a and after rolling the speed of the member a is reduced so as to allow the balls to fall through a hopper d on to a conveyer z. The machine may be combined with a known feed-device comprising rollers g, h rotatable in opposite direction and bored to carry slidable cylindrical members m. The latter have cup-shaped cavities at their ends and spring-controlled scoops p and are actuated by eccentrics o on which the rollers rotate.
