Abstract

182,290. Low, A. M., and Low Engineering Co., Ltd. May 26, 1921. Spring devices.-A saddle suspension for cycles, motor-cycles, &c. comprises a bar or tube d carrying the saddle a and pivotally and slidably connected at its forward end to a lug e &c. on the frame, as by means of a pivot bolt f engaging a slot in the end d<1>, the rear end of the bar d being fixed to a transverse member g, to each end of which is attached the thin end of a laminated spring h secured to the frame by means of a bracket k &c. The bar d may be replaced by a single laminated spring. The brackets k supporting the two springs h may be steadied or stiffened by stays m attached by lugs n to a part of the frame.
